Welcome to the new site everyone! I can’t believe my solo project is available and hopefully will be in the hands of at least a few people today! After all these years, it feels really right to be releasing these songs at this time of my life with sixstepsrecords. God’s timing is always perfect and I really marvel at Him today with this new release. My husband Nathan and I have labored over this project for the past several months with much joy and wonder as God has led us through each stage of the process. Today is like a birth to us in so many ways - it’s finally out there for all to hear and hopefully God will use it in a great way to make much of His name, and to help many to voice their hearts to God in a new way.
Music is powerful…God made it that way. It’s an invitation to the glorious, making everyday moments a platform for praise, for heart connection, for life beyond what we see with our eyes. “Life Light Up” is filled with hundreds of those moments, where the glorious somehow filled the mundane of my life and out came song after song… They started as prayers and simple breaths of praise while I was busy doing what was right in front of me…most of the time, mothering! So these songs continue on in my heart, yet now I share them with you today and pray that you find yourself connected to the God who made you and called you out of darkness, into His marvelous light!

christy, i’ve been waiting a long time for this, but it was well worth the wait! we downloaded the album yesterday & i’ve been playing it nonstop. “choose” is hands down one of my new favorite songs. moves me to tears; it’s as if you’ve put my heart into words. thanks & many blessings to you & yours!

I have to tell you that we were at the Chris Tomlin concert in Houston & when you sang, I did not know it was you at first, but kept telling my son “wow - who ever that is has a beautiful voice, they remind me of Christy Nockels” & then when Chris introduced you I was even more excited!!!

Hi Christy,
I heard you sing your song “Choose” from your new album today on K-Love in Portland, Oregon. Hearing the inspiration behind that song made the song even more beautiful. I know what it is like to lay down our own personal persuits to stay at home with the children the Lord has gifted to us. My kids are 5 and almost 7 and the Lord still has me ministering full time to them. He has even called me to homeschool them. Believe me this was not my plan! But I can honestly say by choosing God’s plan for my life is far better than anything my plan could have amounted to. Yet still my flesh is weak at times and I see that bright yellow school bus stop in front of my house to pick up the neighbor kids for school and think how nice that would be to just have a day to myself. Listening to your song “Choose” has given me strength for today to once again choose God’s plan and lay down my own. Thank you for allowing God to work through you in such a tough time. Your songs and heart are being used to encourage me and I am sure many others to Choose God. Thank you.

I fell in love with you and your music the very first time I heard you and Nathan sing as Watermark as a prelude to Point of Grace - one of the first concerts my daughter ever attended with me. She is now 18 and chomping at the bit to get to Passion in Atlanta - and you are just one of the reasons why. We heard you recently with Chris Tomlin in WPB and pre-ordered “Life Light Up” from sixstepsrecords as soon as it was offered. Just now I have been listening on my iPod while working on a children’s book project and had to stop - and weep - while listening to “By His Love.” What a powerful song for the church - for parents and grandparents like me. Thank you, dear Christy, for using the gifts God has given you to bring glory to His name and edification to the Body of Christ.
