Ep 18: Matt Redman

Welcome to the Glorious in the mundane podcast! Today I am so excited to share an interview with my friend and fellow songwriter Matt Redman. Nathan and I have been friends with Matt for about 16 years now and have been continually inspired and challenged by Matt’s leading and songwriting through the years. Known for songs like “Blessed Be Your Name” “Better is One Day” and of course “10,000 reasons” Matt’s gifts have been just that - a gift to the Church and to homes around the nations as His songs help us say what we long and desire to say to our Savior.

Nathan and I have been privileged through the years to get to travel with Matt and his band quite a bit and I always take note and learn from Matt’s leading. He truly understands the importance of leading God’s people in worship and I’ve never seen Him take it lightly, even when he’s tired from all his international flying, He always takes a moment to lead us as a team in prayer and reflection before we go out and lead the masses together. I so appreciate the depth of Matt’s songwriting and I hope you enjoy hearing some of the stories around some of his beloved songs! Enjoy!
